January 12, 2018 - The King Faisal International Prize honors excellence in Service to Islam, Islamic Studies, Arabic Language & Literature, Medicine, and Science. University of Oxford’s Professor Sir John M. Ball, a member of ICERM's Board of Trustees, was awarded the prize for Science for his fundamental and groundbreaking contributions to nonlinear partial differential equations, the calculus of variations, and dynamical systems. Congrats, Sir Ball!

Foundation Announces Simons Collaboration on Arithmetic Geometry, Number Theory and Computation

July 13, 2017 - The Simons Foundation announced a new Simons Collaboration - Arithmetic Geometry, Number Theory and Computation - which grew directly out of the Fall 2015 ICERM program Computational Aspects of the Langlands Program. The collaboration includes Jennifer Balakrishnan (BU), Noam Elkies (Harvard), Bjorn Poonen (MIT), Andrew Sutherland (MIT), and John Voight (Dartmouth), and Brendan Hassett (Director, ICERM).
