Graduate Students

ICERM welcomes applications from graduate students who wish to participate in a week-long workshop or an entire semester-long program. The research interest of visiting graduate students should relate to the semester program theme. Applications for semester programs are accepted through:

ICERM will provide office space and access to computers; partial support for local and travel expenses may be provided, with the expectation that workshop participants receiving partial support may share a hotel room with another participant. Applications may be submitted at any time until the end of the semester program and will be considered as long as funds and space remain available.

Semester Program Visitors

ICERM welcomes applications for short- and long-term visits to its semester long programs. Short-term visits are typically for 2-4 weeks, while long-term visits are typically for one month to an entire semester. The research interest of short- and long-term visitors should relate to the semester program topic. Applications are accepted through:

Workshop Participants

Decisions about online applications are typically made 1-3 months before the workshop. Funding for workshop participation is limited. If you require funding, please indicate so on the application form.

Note for graduate students If you are a graduate student, you need to ask your advisor to provide a statement of support by email to applications@icerm.brown.edu.

Postdoctoral Institute Fellows

Applications for Postdoctoral Institute Fellowships are accepted through Mathjobs.

Postdoctoral Institute Fellows: The institute will fund two one-year postdoctoral positions which will be salaried positions with benefits. Each Institute Fellow will be a research participant in one of the semester programs planned for that year.

Postdoctoral Fellows

Applications for Postdoctoral Fellowships are accepted through Mathjobs.

Postdoctoral Fellows: The institute will support four postdoctoral fellows per semester. These postdoctoral researchers are associated with a specific program and will typically be in residence for that semester, supported by a monthly stipend.
