January 2, 2012 - Mathematical Institutes Open House at the Joint Mathematics Meetings on Wednesday, January 4, 2012 from 5:30 p.m.-8:00 p.m in Boston. Participants are warmly invited to attend this open house which is co-sponsored by 15 of the Mathematical Institutes in North America. This reception precedes the Gibbs Lecture. Come find out about the latest activities and programs at each of the institutes that may be suited to your own research.

The Open House will be held at the Boston Marriott Copley Place, in the Gloucester Room on the 3rd floor, located at 110 Huntington Avenue, Boston, Massachusetts.

ICERM's Board of Trustees Chair Named President of ICIAM

December 8, 2011 - A professor at The Ohio State University and Chair of ICERM's Board of Trustees, Barbara Keyfitz became the first woman president of the International Council on Industrial and Applied Mathematics (ICIAM).

The Association for Women in Mathematics AWM has also announced that Professor Keyfitz will deliver the Noether Lecture at the 2012 Joint Mathematics Meetings.
