September 25, 2012 - We are pleased to announce the following individuals have accepted appointments to ICERM's Scientific Advisory Board (SAB):

• Michael Brenner (Harvard)
• Cynthia Phillips (Sandia)
• Richard Schwartz (Brown)
• Yuri Tschinkel (NYU)
• Peter Winkler (Dartmouth)

ICERM's Scientific Advisory Board is responsible for approving the programs and scientific activities of the Institute. In addition, the SAB is involved in shaping the direction of the scientific enterprise through specific suggestions of thematic programs and of program organizers. Three of the seats on this Board are reserved for senior representatives of Google, IBM, and Microsoft.

We would also like to take this opportunity to sincerely thank four founding members who are stepping down from the Scientific Advisory Board this fall: David Gabai, Rick Kenyon, Don Saari, Bernd Sturmfels, and Eli Upfal.
